Bisuke-tan (Biscuit-tan, ビスケたん) is a character whose design originated from ASCII art posted on 2Channel's adult-oriented PINK board in 2001. She is the moe personification of the biscuits sold by KFC. She had a visual appearance outside that was popularized from a flash animation anonymous artists made in 2002. She is an unofficial parody mascot of the KFC franchise. Her hair is inspired by Colonel Sanders, varying from white, silver or light blue depending on artist and how old the art is.

It originally started as a thread on the PINK board titled "KFC biscuits are delicious", unrelated to the original purpose of the board. Spontaneously, she came into being in the 438th reply of that thread. Since her creation, she has spread rapidly online, and similar personified characters have been created one after another.

On the other hand, because the original author was not identified, Bisuke-tan was free use. She has been used in various commercial magazines beyond the boundaries of amateur doujinshi. In particular, the internet information magazine "Netrunner"has produced various goods and animations using Bisuke-tan, which has caused backlash as it was done without the permission of the residents of the board who were involved in the actual creation of the character.

A song titled "My Sweet Honey Biscuit!" was also produced by Cotton Pantie's.

However, the thread where Bisuke-tan was born gradually became deserted. As of June 2006, there is no thread titled "KFC biscuits are delicious" on the 2channel board where Bisque-tan was born.
